AEGIS.net, Inc. has been selected as a finalist for the American Council for Technology – Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) Igniting Innovation 2017 Showcase for our Developers Integration Lab. The Developers Integration Lab (DIL) was selected as a finalist from over 100 submissions by a panel of government and industry evaluators. ACT-IAC invited companies to showcase their innovations that benefit the government and its citizens – a core value and driving force of the DIL. ACT-IAC issued a press release announcing the selection of the Top 30 Finalists for Igniting Innovation 2017 that is available at: http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/finalists-announced-for-igniting-innovation-2017-300407077.html.
The DIL is an automated conformance and interoperability test lab which provides self-service tools and processes for gateway-to-gateway testing of bidirectional standards conformance and interoperability, even against multiple/custom gateways. This revolutionary system facilitates secure, reliable electronic data exchange among all parties that need it, based on national standards such as IHE, HL7, and HL7’s FHIR. The DIL supports the government’s cloud-based shared services mission, provides the highest degree of service level agreement for all participants, delivers maximal security, and enables testing for continuous interoperability.
AEGIS has received several accolades for the Developers Integration Lab and related work. Gartner named AEGIS a “Cool Vendor” in Healthcare for 2016. They also wrote about AEGIS and the DIL in a research note entitled “Robust Testing Is Required for Reliable Healthcare Interoperability” (Gartner access is required to read the research note itself) and named us a “Top 10 Strategic Technology” in 2015. The DIL was a finalist for the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s “Patent of the Year” award for 2016. Finally, AEGIS was given the 2016 “Overall Most Innovative” Award from FedHealthIT.
We look forward to showcasing the DIL at ACT-IAC’s Igniting Innovation 2017 on March 14th at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, DC. An overall winner will be voted on and announced at the event, so wish us luck and we hope to see you there!
