On a late Friday evening, the Director of Membership Development and Industry Outreach with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) reached out to AEGIS to participate in the Spring 2014 Company Member Forum (CMF) Meeting. ANSI was looking for a global community leader in innovation of Health IT interoperability, testing, analytics, and informatics to participate in their discussion on Interoperability & Cybersecurity. As usual, AEGIS stood up to the plate to attend and participate. The CMF Meeting was convened at the Qualcomm Headquarters in sunny San Diego, California. Mario Hyland (@interopguy), Senior Vice President & Founder at AEGIS provided an enlightening presentation on the state of maturity of the Health IT marketplace with regard to interoperability and conformance testing. The presentation was extremely well received with follow-on discussions from standards development organizations requesting information on how to engage AEGIS for conformance testing against their standards and profiles. Based on the success of this event, ANSI is considering future participation from AEGIS in its World Standards Week later this year!
