AEGIS will be participating in the Health Level Seven (HL7) 27th Annual Plenary & Working Group Meetingheld at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge in Boston, MA from September 22nd – 27th, 2013. As a national leader in the innovation of Health IT interoperability, testing, analytics, and informatics, AEGIS brings to the meeting our industry expertise in developing and advancing health testing tools. Foremost of these tools is the Developers Integration Lab (DIL), an open source Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Testing as a Service (TaaS) solution for information sharing, exchange gateway, interoperability, and compatibility testing. Envisioned, architected, and hosted by AEGIS, the DIL is a platform that endorses early and frequent testing via Agile’s Test Driven Development methodology.
AEGIS has been working with several Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) and ONC to champion standards-based testing. Furthering those efforts at this event, AEGIS will participate in:
- Working Group Meetings – where we’ll meet face-to-face with other attendees to discuss the standards and have the opportunity to network with industry leaders from around the world.
- Standards Development – where more than 40 work groups, dedicated to specialized areas of interest such as Orders and Observations and Electronic Health Records, will come together to work on the standards.
- Educational Sessions – a full range of HL7-specific topics will be covered, such as Version 2.x Implementation, Version 3, and the Clinical Document Architecture (CDA®), among others. Other sessions will branch out to cover general interest industry topics such as Meaningful Use in the US, Electronic Health Records, and Vocabulary/Terminology.
