AEGIS is pleased to announced that Dr. Barry West has joined our newly formed Advisory Board as its founding member. Dr. West, who has been engaged with us all summer in a strategic consulting role agreed to anchor our new board and help us advance our new strategic initiatives. With his assistance, we will be adding a diverse group of additional advisers in the next few weeks and we look forward to their help as well.
Dr. West is, of course, the past CIO of six (6!) federal agencies, an accomplished executive in the private sector, and founder of his own firm, West Wing Advisory Services. He is a professor of cyber-security and Executive in Residence at the Georgia State University – J. Mack Robinson College of Business. His expertise in IT strategy, cyber-security, and business management are well known in the federal IT space. He co-chairs the annual CES Government conference, the premier government-industry executive conference – held in conjunction with CES in Las Vegas each January and hosted by the Government Business Executive Forum (GBEF).
We very much look forward to continuing to work with Dr. West as AEGIS advances our health IT interoperability initiatives and expands our IT services work in IV&V, software testing, and related disciplines.
