AEGIS will be attending and participating in the upcoming West Health Institute’s “Health Care Innovation” series of 2014: Igniting an Interoperable Health Care System. The HCI-DC conference will be held on February 6, 2014 in Washington, DC. (HCI-DC). The Gary and Mary West Health Institute (WHI) and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) are co-hosting the event. AEGIS staff will join other stakeholders critical to driving interoperability – a cornerstone to improving patient care through safer and more cost-effective health care delivery.
The concept around the HCI-DC 2014 brings together leading innovators from inside and outside the health care industry to allow for knowledge sharing, matchmaking and engagement to drive transformation of our healthcare system. AEGIS staff will interact with policymakers, federal employees, health care advocates, business leaders, business development executives, academics, and product and technology specialists with a focus on or interest in health information technology, particularly in the area of interoperability.
