This week AEGIS is participating in the May 2015 HL7® International Working Group Meeting and its 7th Fast Health Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) Connectathon in Paris, France.
For several years AEGIS has been actively participating in HL7® Plenary & Work Group Meetings (WGMs) and FHIR® Connectathons covering a full range of HL7-specific topics such as Version 2.x Implementation, Version 3, and the Clinical Document Architecture (CDA®), FHIR®, Meaningful Use in the US, Electronic Health Records, and Vocabulary Terminology among others. At this meeting AEGIS staff will be heavily involved in the following activities:
- Participating and continuing the work we started over a year ago with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Immunization Information Systems (IIS) with the on-going development of the FHIR® Immunization Forecasting interfaces;
- Collaborating on furthering our FHIR® testing capabilities in the Developers Integration Lab (DIL) in support of our HL7® Conformance Testing Program; and
- As we have in the previous Connectathons, support the FHIR® community in testing out the latest version of the FHIR® specification (DSTU-2).
As an HL7 Benefactor and member of the Joint Argonaut Project, AEGIS supports HL7’s important efforts toward streamlined development, implementation and adoption of industry-critical standards, specifications and products.
