Back in October, AEGIS was appraised CMMI Maturity Level 3 for the third time since 2009. We have worked hard to implement the CMMI process model organization-wide and we continue to seek continuous improvement. Now, we are making our mark as a thought leader in the process improvement community.
We’re excited to announce that AEGIS has been invited to take part in not one , but two sessions at this year’s premier CMMI conference, Capability Counts 2016 to be held in Annapolis, Maryland on May 10-11. AEGIS President and SCAMPI-A Sponsor Michael Callihan will take the stage on Tuesday, May 10 in the finals of the Capability Challenge. Michael presented in the January round of the webinar series where he told the story of AEGIS’ process improvement journey, likening it to a “health kick.” The voters spoke and sent Michael to Annapolis for the finals where he will do an encore in person, competing against three other outstanding organizationsfor the championship!
Then on Wednesday, May 11, Michael will join a CMMI and Agile-focused panel entitled, “Building Capability in Agile Organizations” led by CMMI guru Jeff Dalton of Broadsword. Michael will sit alongside Jenn Wilson of Blackbaud and the man who literally wrote the book on integrating CMMI and Agile, process improvement pioneer Paul McMahon.
Capability Counts 2016 is going to be an engaging, educational, and, I expect, entertaining conference in an unparalleled location. Whether your organization is government or industry, a process improvement veteran, just beginning your journey or somewhere in between, the annual CMMI conference offers compelling talks, stimulating dialog, and fresh perspectives. See the conference website for details on how to register – we hope to see you in Annapolis!
